Poem #306

Hey Everybody!
Happy Daylight Savings!! I know that's not really a holiday but honestly, doesn't it feel like one with the extra hour of sleep? haha :)
And just to let you know, 45,000 words for nanowrimo!! :) 5,000 more to go but my novel's probably going to be a lot longer than that.

You both think each other’s lives are easier,
Arguing daily about what it’s really like.
You each wish you had the other’s life,
So your lives could be easier.
You both think that you are nothing alike,
Like you don’t have to deal with the same problems,
As if you both lead perfect lives.
But neither of you know the truth.
I wish you could switch lives for a day,
See what the other has to deal with.
Stop this constant fighting,
Fighting over something neither of you know about.
You could see that you both lead tough lives,
Though they may be stressful in different ways.
You could see that neither life is as perfect as you assumed.
You’ll see that your arguments are pointless,
And that maybe, you two are more alike than you think.
If only you could switch.
