Poem #506

Our Castle

Our castle stands ever-tall and strong,
Providing a place for us to belong.
And when I’m with you, nothing can go wrong.
True affection like this will last so long.

The foundation is love between you and me,
The strongest cement you ever will see.
A plan we once carved into the trunk of a tree,
Now sprung to life, what we hoped it would be.

The beautiful structure floats up on high,
Among the clouds adorning the sky.
And you give me wings to make me fly,
So we can stay here and watch life go by.

This house is a testimony to our love,
A display of strong feelings which we are proud of,
With walls built high and lined with doves.
Our own forever, a home beloved.
